On one of our trips they play "Put A Ring on It" several times during the night - all week.

Thank goodness the playroom is soundproof and we can't hear the music from the disco in there. It's a great little get-a-way place.

we were there two weeks ago, unless soundproofing of the play room was done after this period , we could hear the music. Granted it was not as loud as being out on the dance floor.

It seems many people are negative about the music but my hubby and I enjoyed it. Also, the friends we went with enjoyed it.

Having just returned yesterday from our fourth visit, we can tell you the playroom is definitely NOT soundproof.

We generally love the music at the disco. There was one night that the DJ played a lot of Latin dance music which didn't go over particularly well, but we otherwise really enjoyed it--even the repetition.

Hmm. Well, maybe we were just 'in the moment' and had blocked everything and everyone else out. We only heard the music when someone opened the door to come in or go out. :?

We just got back on Sunday and i can report that on 2 nights the DJ was totally brutal !! He thought he was in a mixing studio and practicing some wierd crap. He never left a song at the same tempo for more than 45 seconds ! and was into extreme "techno". He sucked !

The other nights had Vanessa's (EC Crewmember) boyfriend as DJ and he was really very good ! He played a nice mix of top 40 dance versions and usually was able to keep the dance floor pretty packed. Even managed to get a funky celtic style song in...and thats something i thought i would NEVER dance to, at Desire !!

The music that is played in the disco gets very repetitive, but then, so does every modern radio station that plays current dance music.

......But if I ever hear "all summer long " by kid rock, again, I may go postal !

Steve

I believe that the DJ's want to show there stuff. Not cater to the crowd as they see it. Which makes them poor DJ's. Adjusting the music to the crowd,is a mark of a real professional.

Monifah.. Touch it

Akon... I wana f**k you.

Dope.. let's f**k.

Also for slow songs which in our many trips to desire we have never heard. Stuff from ,Sade could be played nice and slow very sexy....

I am willing to bet if they were to play Monifah.. Touch it. 95% of the place would be dancing....

As stated some people leave after an hour or so.. The staff needs to consider the age group, and cater to that. There job is to keep us dancing . It seems to me most other issues are delt with accept this one.. You do not have to kill us with old school just mix it up.... Most of these songs can be preveiwed on Itunes,or youtube..... Thanks for letting talk :D
