Packing and unpacking Gear

I'm told that Desire has very little in the way of dressers or places to put clothing in the rooms.

Is this true? If so how do you handle putting away necessities and clothing??? Do you just leave them in the suitcases or whatever??

Our oceanview room last year, had a total of 2 Drawers under the TV and the closet where the safe was kept, so yes, space is at a premium for most people. I basically left most of my stuff in the suitcase while Nancy used the limited space for her clothes (her outfits were WAY more important than mine anyway

What i have seen some people do is to bring down those over the door type shoe holders that seem to work excellent for holding all kinds of stuff. They are quite inexpensive and, therefore, can be left behind at the end of your stay if needed.

Otherwise, my only advice is to pack light ,cause G-strings shouldnt take up much space anyway!!

We have used the concrete shelves that are in or adjacent to the closet -- at least this arrangement exists in some of the rooms. I shove the coffee maker up on a higher shelf where there are extra pillows and that frees up a lot of space to place folded shirts, etc. In fact, some rooms have several shelves. I think our greatest space saver is to bring clothing already hanging on hangers (the light-weight clear plastic ones you get when you buy clothes at places like Kohls). I put several shirts on one hanger, a slew of sexy dresses that have hanging straps on another couple hangers. So easy to unpack -- just hang 'em up. Packing is simplified, too, cuz when we get home after I do the laundry I hang these items on the same hangers and store in the closet til the next trip.

Don't sweat the small stuff .... and the clothing you're bringing down should be light weight 'small stuff' anyway!!!

Last year, we read about others using the over-the-door shoe rack, so we decided to bring one. it was fabric and easy to pack. it worked well to keep shoes and jewelry items. Most of my clothing either went in the closet or stayed in the suitcase. There really is very little closet or drawer space.
