Guys dressing up for theme nights!

We've only been to DRM one time but will be there on the 19! Last year I dressed up for theme nights every night but was almost alone every night but one. Guys should dress up more often cause the ladies seem to like it! Think about it, the women would like to see men dressed up too! After all the women rule the place!!!! Dress up guys!

Rachel and I both have tried to dress for the theme nights, but I have to say that the themes tend to be much easier for the ladies to shop for that the men IMO. Aside from Schoolgirls & College Nerds night, I've been fairly stumped about that to try and wear as a guy on some of them. Plus, this being our first time, I haven't been really sure about to which extremes people might to with the theme's. We'll juts have to see, but your husband won't be alone in dressing for them. We'll also be arriving on the 19th. Can't believe that's only 3 sleeps away!!!

John, I love it when the guys dress up. My guy hasn't wanted to before but this year he wants to dress for the themes. We will be there on the 19th as well so you won't be the only guy dressed for the themes.

I have a few outfits I put together for the him.
I got us matching shirts for Tight and Bright night....turned mine into a dress.
Made him a cute collage nerd outfit out of a pair of plaid pajama bottoms.
Found a fab pair of leather pants at the thrift store for leather and lace night.....still needs a little tweeking. Hopefully I can finish it in time.
He has a fab outfit for Studio 54 night....so sexy.
I found a fun pair of boxers for lingerie night. Its a bit geeky but I think they are sexy.
I think the only night he wont dress up is Casino night. Its to hot for a suit and I don't have much time to come up with something else.......we will see.

For Casino Night, why not a pair of black silk boxers and a bow tie. You can even find white cuffs to go with it.

We just left DRM after 7 days. We had the time of our life!!! Most guys don't dress for theme nights. The only exception was bright and tight night. Many guys wore square cut swin suits that we're bright/neon!!! It didn't matter! Don't worry guys. It's all about the sexy women and there were many!!! Go and have fun!! Don't worry about it! No big deal if your not dressed because you'll never naked in the jacuzzi right after and that's where the fun was in our experience!!

As a guy I always felt like the theme night was a fun chance to be a little silly. Have a good sense of humor and remember that Desire is a place where negativity is rare and very frowned upon. People appreciate it if you don't take yourself too seriously. Be willing to make a fool of yourself a little bit, the cool people will like it and anybody lacking a sense of humor can exercise their right to stay away from you.

I agree with SJCrazy - just let loose and have fun... It's OK if you look a little wild. I think that Desire could encourage the guys to participate more and to dress up for the disco if they had a couples contest one night, with some award going to the COUPLE in the best, or the funniest, or the sexiest outfits. Having said that, in our 3 trips to Pearl over the past year, there have been several guys who dressed for theme nights, including myself on many nights. It's fun!

In the past I have weighed in on this topic many times. I have always participated in the theme nights, most of the time wearing wild boxers, thongs, things you wouldn't see anywhere but Desire (or other lifestyle events) and always have the best time !! Its especially advantageous to gain the attention of the women there, who go through so much effort for our eyes (guys and girls) and who really appreciate when we men do the same. I love shopping for some crazy items that you can find online and wearing those items where you can do what you want. JMHO and first-hand experience. That experience (3 visits to Desire, plus other lifestyle trips) would estimate that less than 20% of the men generally participate, but the ones who do are generally the ones having the most fun, at least at the disco. Anything goes when it comes to Desire !
