Lobby Renovations (Swinging beds area) 7/2014

During our stay from July 6-12, the lobby area which used to have the hanging/swinging beds was under renovation.
The area was completely re-tiled, a thick plexiglass type roof was secured to the top of the existing pergola roof to keep the area dry & make it safer and they started moving in new furniture. The swinging beds will not be back (that's what we were told).
I'm thinking this is their response from all our complaints about them taking away the hut in the lobby, enclosing it & giving it to the timeshare salespeople.
I can see this area becoming a nice area to hang out but it still doesn't replace the lobby hut being wasted by the timeshare people.
When we left on the morning of July 12th, it look like the work was just about complete.

I don't know.... They look kind of small. When the swinging beds were there I remember a number of times more than one couple could use them (when really good lobby entertainment there) and chat and the swinging of the beds was mesmerizing

Bob. I think the furniture that is shown there is just temporary - looks like they just grabbed some from around the pool members area

Thanks for the input Wayne. Swift and great as usual! I remember a night spent sharing some fun conversation with you and the wife on those old beds Going to Pearl 8/1, but hope to stop by and check out the DRM changes.

Yep, they where great for social mixing - I hope the new furniture is just as adaptable

We were told yesterday before we left that the beds would be back. The chairs you see were borrowed from the pool.

I hope so. We were bummed when we were told the beds weren't coming back.
Personally, we loved those beds! I hope we just got bad info.
