We Canadians pride ourselves on being the calm cool and collected types especially when we travel, but I WILL tear the roof off that motherf**ker if some one tells me that I can't transfer to Pearl in the afternoons. Sorry folks but there won't be anything left to renovate. Mexican school children will sing songs about the devistation. I'll make Kaiser Sosei look like Santa Claus. Anything short of COMPLETE reimbursement I am certain to get myself tossed off the property.

That is so not right ...i agree with scuba ... if you advertise then deliver!....period. Seems like Original Resorts does not realize , Concept vacation or not people still plan months ahead and spend their hard earned money ..Original resorts should have lot more respect for their paying guests and not treat them like a bunch of addicts(we have what you want ..so we will treat you how we da* near please )...if they had anticipated this problem(For as long they have been in business .. since its its not their first Rodeo) ..they should have not OVER booked at desire Rm .. its that simple....shame on them..

UPDATE: We are here right now. Since Pearl is "at capacity" they are only taking 8 couples at 11 and 8 couples at 12. No more, even if you pay your own taxi. Which is bullshit.

This is EXTREMELY disappointing. I certainly hope this is not the case when we arrive on 9/20. We were willing to put up with the inconvenience of shuttling back and forth, but don't want to be with no pool at all for 3 - 4 days.

So, do the 16 couples reserve a spot, or is it first come first served?

We are in complete agreement with Big B and jwell - there was absolutely NO mention in the promotion to limit the number of people that could go to PM from RM to 16 guests. Also, how are those of us at RM going to know if DP if at capacity and even if it is, so what, we aren't sleeping there, so put a few more "shrimp on the bar-B". We are arriving on the 17th. It would be nice if management would be so polite and answer Jwell's question as to just how will the transfer system work!!

We also arrive on the 17th. Our travel friends arrive on the 16th.
There could be enough pissed off, weary travelers who are already grumpy thanks to TSA to have a real riot.

It was first come first served in the morning, which was full by 8am. Two shuttle buses and that was it. We were very upset as were a few other couples. We ended up going over there anyway and had no problems when we arrived at Pearl. Several other couples did the same. The foam party was an absolute BLAST! For our return they just called a bunch of cabs for everyone to return at 4 or 5.

I don't think they will limit the number of couples again. They had quite a few upset guests. I understand they are trying to control the amount of people at Pearl as to not overwhelm the staff, but everything was under control there. The line was a bit long at the bar, but that was about the most of it. Some Pearl guests even commented they were excited that DRM guests would be there to "pump up the party"!

Mission accomplished!!
