ISM - Differences?

Postby mrcarmichael30 » Mon Sep 29, 2014 7:16 pm

We are looking to book a trip for Jan 2015. This is International Swingers Month. This will be out first time to Desire, but not to a clothing optional destination. We are not in the lifestyle as of yet, but if the opportunity presents itself... you know.

My question is... what is different at RM or Pearl on this month? I heard that you can play anywhere on the grounds, not just Jacuzzi, play room, true? Anything else?

We are leaning towards Pearl for our first time Jan 9-13... Birthday celebration!

Thanks in advanced for any responses!

Cheers!

Last year it seemed like they were more explicitly permissive in the advertising material.

I'd say that you can pretty much play anywhere you'd care to any time the vibe is conducive. We were there just before the first ISM and while we didn't press the envelope at the pool, the first thing we did when we got there in the morning was a blowie on our pool bed. We got nothing but compliments from anyone. I think the only things that would get you a tap on the shoulder and a reprimand would be either play visible to beach passersby or spoiling the vibe.

We've not ever had sex by the pool, but the couples we've observed were trying to be very discreet about it. So discreet, that it really didn't look very fun and they gave up pretty quickly. I think some low-key f**king by the pool would probably not draw undue attention, but vigorous porn-style banging might need that ISM endorsement.

All my comments assume a full-ish resort, which is (I'm told) similar to the vibe during a takeover. Aside from our first tip to Cabo 9 years ago, we've never been when it wasn't fairly crowded.

We posted the same thing under January 2015 Roll Call but here it is again:

We did ISM last year and will be there again this year. I believe last year was their first try at this. Clearly it is an inducement but it was not just a gimmick in our view. Things were pretty much like usual except the activities were a bit different (like having Eyes Wide Shut) instead of other themes commonly done. But the best part really was that they invite special guests like sex therapists and other "experts".

So for example we were in a group of about 20 couples following directions about giving orgasms (quite a unique situation for participatory learning}. It is sexy (and at times comical) to have all of the couples following the directions and witnessing and being a part of group orgasms. Similar for the large group erotic massage lessons.

We are not returning during ISM because of ISM, it is more about our vacation timing, but we are both happy that it works out that way because ISM did include options for added fun. Like everything at Desire, you do not have to participate, but it is often a super experience to try new things like the events available during ISM.
