Spa questions

Hi Folks:

We're arriving before lunch, but obviously the room won't be ready. I've heard folks say that they've gone to the spa, and had permission to take a shower and freshen up upon arrival. Does anyone know if you can just show up at the spa and use the sauna and steamroom whenever you want? Or is that normally only reserved for people who booked a service, like a massage? I'm thinking we might want to make that part of our daily routine, if we don't have to pay $150 for a massage each time. How much of the spa can be used without a paid service, or a reservation?

Unless it has changed recently, in the spa you can use the lockers, sauna, steam room and showers whenever you want without charge

No spa treatment needed. Just show up, they will give you a warm smile and show you the way to the separate men's and women's (why????) showers where you can get ready. We've done it ten times and as recently as a couple weeks ago. Enjoy your trip!!!!!

Yeah - was kinda wondering about the separate locker rooms. What if one of us gets "lost"? Jokes aside, we would kinda like heading to the sauna together, then sharing a nice shower to kick off the week.

Anyone been successful at having a co-ed sauna session?

My wife and I have always used the showers in the ladies side and not only they have never said anything negative but even they said we could do that anytime. So feel free!

Lol... truth be told we both used the ladies shower room for the first 5 or 6 visits thinking it was the only one. Then one day, I walked out into the hall and saw the men's room sign for the first time. Oups!

At Pearl the sauna, steam room, and soaking jacuzzis were in a shared area... is it the same at RM? Can my wife and I go in to the steam rooms together?

As last time was our first time I can't speak from to much experience but when we were getting fresh from the plane we had a naked woman waltz through the mens to grab her hubby and the wife and I showered in the womans. It's all just a whole bunch of fun!

We've both been in both restrooms, plenty of times. Just feels like it doesn't matter there. Anyway, each bathroom has it's own steam room. The one in the mens is better though, since it has a giant shower head on a pull chain that you can use to cool off. Very refreshing!

We were in the women's steam room last week after our massage and we found it to be too hot and far too much vapor stuff (feels like breathing in icy hot).
