Starting from CC's beach bar (which had to be placed on a platform due to the erosion) the level of the beach sand is lower and the beach gradually narrows towards the northern end of the resort. There are some rocks exposed that we haven't seen before. Absent storm events, it should continue to build up. The amount of seagrass varied from day to day. Certainly not as bad as two years ago. Our last few days it was minimal.
All of the older palapa beds have been replaced. The swinging beds were not replaced, nor is there room for two rows of palapa beds in that area. However, they have added palapa beds along the beach in front of the pool so I believe the total number of palapa beds is about the same.
The new resort next door, Breathless, has sustained very serious erosion starting with the boundary with Desire. That resort has generated some increased foot traffic (it does require some effort to traverse from one property to the other) but overall it has minimal impact on Desire.
