Questions from Temptation vets

We are going to pearl in June for our first trip. We are both 28 yr olds and have pretty much the same concern we understand that we will be on the young side of the scale and that's fine it's the reports you here from 40 yr olds saying tha they were in the hot tub with 25+ couples and they were the youngest couple there that scares us. We're are going in June I don't know wether that would make a difference as far as age goes. We decided to just go and see when we're there since there is really no guarantee for who's gonna be there. Desire over temptations for us either way because we would rather be the youngest people there with a bunch of older people than have a bunch of drunk single guys acting like 13 year olds in a porn shop around my wife. Who does look like she belongs in a magazine btw!!!

I agree about the single guys situation. Precisely why I'm taking the chance at Desire. Obviously better ratio, and no single frat boy dudes or creepers to ruin the mood. Plus, there isn't as much sexual freedom and nudity options at temptation, from what I've researched. I'll be with my man, so I want it ALL!

If it helps - we've been to RM 2 or 3 times and to Hedo once, as well as several just-nude beaches in the U.S. This is our first visit to Pearl. We are 47 (me, wifey) and 43 (yeah, I like 'em younger too). We went our first time a bit nervous about the nudity and what else would go on, but dove headfirst in and never looked back. Our experience is that there definitely are couples of all ages, but the average age does tend toward 40s as that's often when people 1) can afford a bit nicer vacations, 2) can get the time to do so, and 3) become more comfortable in their own skins (or maybe I'm just projecting from a sample of one couple, us). I saw a few couples in their 20s when there, more in their 30s, and I think most were around our age. Some into 50s and 60s, which I thought was very cool - I want to be having that kind of fun when I'm 60 too! Don't you?

My husband and I are physically fit (I am 5'3" and <120 lbs and he's fit as well). We like to think we're fairly good-looking and most people who meet us think we're younger (never having had kids helps with that - both body and never having had to grow up). Many couples there were fit too - not that it's ALL about appearance, but to me, there was a lot of eye candy, both male and female. We were in Hollywood, FL once and saw a group that was heading off on a naked cruise and were NOT overwhelmed by bodies/beauty, so I get it. We both thought the Desire crowd was good to look at AND absolutely amazingly fun to hang out with. CHEERS to the person who said they'd rather have a blast with a 7 than stare at a 10. Plus 10s are usually pretty boring and stupid, IMO. Ha! That said, I've seen stunning women (smooches to Judie and Bob) and some very handsome men every visit (hellooo "Mr. Big").

We do not swap - we discussed what we would be okay with or not at great length beforehand and as a consequence, we have LOVED being there and only got irritated with each other once when I was too hungover to go out one night . We generally like to see and be seen - and think about that, if that's what you like: no matter who is watching, you get to put on your own show and enjoy that. We had so much fun with just being a bit of a show - in the hot tub (body shots!), in the hot tub beds, and in the playroom in RM (next to and sometimes "with" others), PLUS wearing crazy see-through outfits and strutting your stuff. Living out our fantasies as well as dancing all night - and when you get horny dancing in your slutty outfits, you can just run off and do something about it right then and there. It's awesome! I have had a few experiences with women and would probably be a "2" on the Kinsey scale, but didn't really think about hooking up with women when we went. However, it happened - every time. These experiences all happened because someone else was the aggressor, not me - and I thought those women - and their men - were all sexy as hell. Regardless of age. And with hot bodies (some of whom were "hot bodies" like models and some who I just found super hot in their confidence, fun, and overall beauty).

FYI - I hated Hedo and would never go back there. Desire is far and away MUCH much more enjoyable and classier. We love being in the couples-only atmosphere of Desire, and we're really looking forward to experiencing the nicer rooms and beach, and bigger pool and hot tub that Pearl seems to have over RM.

Because I am a nerd, I went to our May Desire Yahoo group and calculated the average age and age ranges of the 13 couples on there so far.

Female average=42, range 31 to 53
Male average=44, range 37 to 56

6 people in their 30s, 3 in 50s, 17 in their 40s.

As newbies we looked at this and figured that if this is anything close to the actual ages of people who are there while we are , that would be great . I really think the fear is that you will get there and have no one within 25 years of you. We've been to places like orient beach and have seen the nudist resorts that are 60 and up and out of shape uhhhggg. We realize this is not what Desire is and hope the poll numbers hold true. Also it seem like these age discussions ( which there are tons of them !) seem to offend some of the older folks since you always get the age is just a state of mind stuff or pics of hot fifty something lady's like above. I only speak for myself but I'm absolutely not saying that my wife and I aren't expecting to see some really hot and in shape couples in there 40s and 50s it's just a comfort thing I would imagine if a 56 yr old couple showed up to a resort where everyone else is under 29 they would feel uncomfortable even if they were the hottest couple there

I totally get that, JandK. I wouldn't want to be the only naked couple at a vanilla resort, for example.

Have you seen if there is a Yahoo Group for June yet created? Often there will be a group where the people have to be approved by the moderator to join (to keep out creepers) - most members will post ages of both in the couple as well as some pictures. I like seeing the detail in the Yahoo Groups, personally. This Forum also has their "role call" for each month although I don't recall if ages were requested in there.

BTW, friends of ours in our city just shyly told us they're going to Temptations later this year - they are about 33 and very hot. That led to me telling her about our experiences at Desire and she wasn't even aware it existed. Now they're thinking about when they can go!

My wife and I have been to Temptation twice and are looking to schedule a trip in September for this year. There are parts of Temptation we love (topless, sexy vibe, great people) and parts that are not so great (single men, a bit juvenile at times, not greatest physical property/food) so we are interested in trying Desire. First off nudity is not a problem, which I know sounds odd but half the "should I go" posts around here seem to center on that issue. Secondly we are not in the lifestyle but couldn't care less who is or isn't. Lastly we are certainly not judgmental about people of all ages and body types being out and about in various stages of undress, have at it.

You would wonder what the issue is, but by pure random chance I happened to be in Tampa for work this weekend (well and some Gasparilla), and we were at the same hotel as a group leaving for a SLS cruise the next day. And they were all much older than us, and to be frank, quite an unattractive lot. Triply so for the men. Part of the fun at Temptations is that there are some extremely good looking people there, who doesn't like eye candy? We are 35 and 32 and are very active and into our appearance so we would have been fish out of water if the people at Desire are anything like the 200 people I saw this weekend. No I'm certainly not up to be on the cover of Men's Health and the next time I go to a resort and am the best looking guy there, or in the top 10 for that matter will be the first. Might be shallow but my wife also has no interest in spending a week with people who appear (despite their great interest in sex and being nude) to not worry about their bodies at all.

Call me judgmental, that would certainly be your right and I won't argue. We are just worried there is no place for us at Desire and we would like a more grown up environment than Temptation offers, one without groups of 10 spring breaking 20 year old's gawking and hitting on any woman who walks up to the bar. I am absolutely certain we cannot be the only people who have ever been concerned about fitting in though right? /Flame suit on.......

With due respect.... A little on the 'vain' side!!.....

We are due at Desire for our 6th Trip in March ( just a few weeks away).....and one of the best things about Desire, is that no one cares who are what you are...especially what you look like.!!. In fact, we have found that all the fun we have had on our previous 5 trips, have been right across the board......so....leave your vanity at the reception..no Egos....no hang-ups!!.

Just for the record....I'm 54....and have kept myself in great shape.....but perhaps you feel that we should stay away!!..... Desire is a great leveler!!

As like last year....we are also visiting Temptation as part of our holiday....kind of a two centre....the difference between the two resorts is quite substantial...( well...in my opinion anyway). Desire is a little more 'up-market'....environmentally and socially.!!

We have met many great couples on our past 5 trips....Canadian, American....and European...some beautiful ( whatever that is)....some not so..( to some people)...we have stayed in touch throughout the years.

My advice.....stay with 'the beautiful' people your entire stay....then just maybe you won't be disappointed...right??

I think that Temptations might just be a good fit for you!

If I had a dollar for every couple that was transferred to Desire, got there, and couldn't believe how lucky they were to have ended up in the Desire hot tub!

Desire is a place for people who get it!
Life is about new experiences, acceptance, and appreciation for like minded people having a place like Desire to go to! I know this as I have had to live with terminal cancer for my last couple of years.

My wife is one of those "beautiful people", absolutely gorgeous! But, she is more beautiful on the inside and loves all the people that have made her laugh, smile, and made her feel so welcome. Every husband, every wife, goes to this magical place for a reason! Most couples come back with a want to go back for more!!

If you are open to meeting some of the most wonderful and beautiful people literally from around the world, Desire is the place for you! If appearances are your number one priority ( by the way, we have seen and enjoyed, much eye candy in 5 trips ), perhaps Desire is not for you!

Temptation Vets (both 50, health/active married 27 years) (8 years planning year 9 this September) It is all about attitude, don’t make it something more. WE have had a blast every year at TTR, we both regret not discovering TTR AND Desire earlier in our life. If you are nervous spend the first days at TTR and a couple days at Desires at the end of your trip. (We are doing the same thing this year but returning to Desire is what we are really looking forward to the most.) All of our trips have been in September after Labor Day weekend and we hang out with good, friendly and not pushy people (from 21 to 80). Will say when problems occurred at TTR it somehow involved single men and young people <30. We don’t have that problem at Desire…the “Attitude” is completely different!

When we were younger, on vacation we would sail past the “Party” Catamaran and say we wish were on that boat, but we did not have the right attitude. Well here we are flash and mooning with the best of them. Good Luck

Funlovers, since our stays overlap, I'll update your numbers (we, both at age 53, are at that age some people seem to be concerned about ....although we do take very good care of ourselves and we are really fun and looking forward to making great friends regardless of age and/or shape during our first trip like this! )

2 people in their 20s, 11 in 30s, 35 in 40s, 16 in 50s

Of course, I'm sure many people who will be there during our stay are not registered in the Yahoo group for Desire Pearl in May.
