If the "just in case" event happens that I'd like to have something that covers up a bit but don't want to jump in and out of shorts. Do males wear anything of this sort and do you have a go to place where you purchase something like?

You won't need to worry about "just in case" something happens - it happens at times to most guys there, and in fact my wife loves in when it happens. She loves seeing the guys walk around like that!

Oh! I wasn't meaning that. I was just referring to "just in case" I don't feel like being naked for a bit while I walk to the lobby, room, bar, spa, etc.
Jeez, after reading my post again it certainly does come off as boner paranoia.

I always bring a pair of shorts with me down to the pool in case I need em for whatever reason.

I use a very thin white sarong for exactly what you described during the day. It’s nice and cool and easy to get on/off or shoved in a bag. For lunch, I wear the sarong with a t shirt and sandals. I just bought my wife one so she can choose between it and her fishnet coverups.

Got ours through Amazon. If I could do it over again, I would just go buy a few yards of the thinnest material available at a local store. Measure it up and cut it with scissors. No need to get fancy. There is absolutely nothing special about a sarong, unless you want a specific design or border.

Just go to the internet and look up men's sarong. You will get a lot of hits from ebay to Amazon and everything in between. Or you could do what we do, just go to a fabric shop pick out a pattern that you like buy a few yards and make your own. After all a sarong is nothing more than a wrap.
Just check ebay and they started out around $15.00 with free shipping.

Thanks, everyone. I didn't even think about cutting out some fabric. My wife has a hideous table drape that might make a cool looking pattern for wear, though that may make her a bit peevish whipping that out on surprise.

Hi. That's all I wore when I was there. Didn't bring any shorts or swim wear. Just the sarong. It was our first time ever at a place like this, so it was a bit unnerving to not bring a swim suit or shorts. The sarong was great for walking back and forth to the room (just didn't feel like walking around naked) and for breakfast/lunch. I was the only male at the resort that had one. Would love it if others wore them too. Funny story, I've studied martial arts for decades and actually trained in some Filipino arts and can use the sarong for self defense in several "fun" ways. So it wasn't just a fashion statement for me. LOL

Yep, been using mine mainly to eat breakfast and lunch, usually see 2-4 guys wearing them.

I have one from a Jamaica trip. Used it all the time during our Desire trips. Around the pool and even when going for lunch. Very comfortable and folds up really, really small.

How have I never seen you in a sarong???

I love my sarong and thought it was perfect for Desire. Got it on Amazon.

I worked at Club Med for years and we wore them quite often. We called them pareo and there were 100's of way to tie/wear them. You can search on Amazon for it and you will find many very nice looking ones for less than $20.

We usually buy a few beach towels and cut the bottom off to the length I want. Then the wife just sews the bottom, add some velcro to hold. You can come up with some really cool beach towels.
