Hi Guys
Our first trip to DRM is all booked up for 10 days next summer ...we cant wait...but its soooo far away, a couple of questions if we may
1) we love the beach and would want to have a beach bed everyday we are there, what is the best way of reserving these ?,is it a case of finding the pool guy on our first day and giving him a nice healthy tip and hopefully he would reserve the bed for the 10 days ????? if this is the case any employee that we would need to search out ?
2)we have heard that its really hard to get loungers around the pool as they are reserved for members, is this the case ( just covering our bets in case there is no beach beds ) if not is it the same as above ( just tip the pool guys ??)
3) is August a slow month, we have been to Cancun a few times in August and the hotels are pretty empty

At RM, I may be wrong but pretty sure most if not all beach beds are reserved for passion suite / villa members. Someone else may be able to shed some light on that.

As far as loungers, you should be able to get loungers each day, but in our experience the process is a bit more uneven at RM than it is at Pearl.

There are lots of non reserved beach beds available - just see the beach concierge on your first day on property to arrange for yours

We have never had a problem getting a beach bed at RM. They seem to always have some open. Pool loungers are a different story. I was told by the attendant that they couldn't be reserved for multiple days. I get up and go down at about 6:30-7:00 in the morning, and have always been able to get a pool lounger. Sucks to have to get up that early to get one, but worth it to us.

We have gotten down to the pool around 10:30 or later every day we have been there on both of our trips, and haven't had any problem getting a lounger by the pool
