Are there any small fishing boats that can pick my wife and I up at the beach for a short 2 hours fishing trip? I love fishing and have done it at the dock at Pearl before with my travel rod, but would like to go off a boat with the pros.

They won't pick you up from the Desire beach, but there are some charter operators in Puerto Morelos and also at the El Cid marina(just south of PM)

Talk to Adolfo about it. He is the scuba instructor. He can arrange for one of the boats from Puerto Morales to come get you from Riviera Maya and take you fishing. Just don’t expect nice fishing equipment etc, but they won’t charge too terribly much.
