Maybe I misread the latest trip report on Trip Advisor but they mentioned that we now have to pay to reserve loungers around the pool? Can anyone confirm this?

It sounds like the poster of the trip report misunderstood something. We asked jorge at Desire and here was his response:

Jorge- Desire GSD: I'm sure this is a misunderstanding, we have never had the booking system for the lounge chairs and nobody has to pay for these, the system we have the first-come and signing, only beach beds can be booked.
Jorge- Desire GSD: and just 15 beach beds

Thanks for finding out. I kind of thought the poster was confusing the beach beds with the pool loungers. How? I don't know but in any case, thanks for clearing this up.
