Rescheduling due to resort closing.

We are curious if anyone has had to reschedule with Desire RM, due to the resort being closed? If so, how did the resort handle your request?

We called and requested new dates in October. They were available and they switched us over no problems. The rate was cheaper so we got an extra day + money in our account to spend at the resort. We're happy.

How about the airline? can you change without hassle or a charge?

Most airlines are allowing flight changes without charge. But this depends on the airline such as when ticket was brought, and a time table as to when you can change travel. You should check with the airline that you are booked on to see what their policy is and do it soon.

Online, we cancelled our flight with American Airlines yesterday. We have been given a full price credit with them that is good for rebooking until December 31. 2021! By then, we hope that we will have visited Desire at least a couple of times!

We rescheduled without any problems from late March until 2 - 11 July. No problems although our SW flight was cancelled for trip home. We rescheduled immediately to a flight that was one hour later. Still waiting to see what happens as we get closer. We have the travel insurance but not sure how much we would get back if they remained closed after 1 June.
