Won't bore you with the details but here's a few. We were booked at DRM Sept 3rd to 9th. Had to leave after 3 nights due to a family emergency back home (house fire). Our airline, Delta had zero openings for the next 4 days but the agent found us 2 seats. We were on the phone with Delta at 12:30pm at Desire, flight leaves at 2:28pm. They made it happen. And the taxi driver was Mario Andretti, lol. He rocked. Delta knew we were on the way and we basically ran through the airport and made it with a few minutes to spare. Desire was more than gracious and they credited to us the 3 nights we missed for future use.
The end of the end, we have a mess to deal with and lost pets but the silver lining is Desire, the airline, and the transfer company . We did make a few friends we will reach out to once the dust settles. Not really a report but a report that good things still happen.
