We were not there so can't say how true this is. On another social site for DRM posted by several people there for NYE the staff was wonderful as usual but they reported that on Dec.31 the bars ran out of premium liquor, they had to buy a bottle of wine to make dinner reservations and was told that the kitchen had run out of beef within one hour. Of course this upset them if true. Several said that at the price they paid for that week that the resort should have had enough supplies since they stated that DRM was full. Another person said that they were at DPR and that none of that happened there. Another poster said that they were at TTR at that time and the same thing happened there.. So who knows, several people said that they were planning on a trip to DRM but after reading that they were going back Hedo 2 instead. Some kind of response needs to be issued by Original Resorts to address these negative posts for our favorite resorts. Just posting this for information as it is based on hearsay from people that were ther ove NYE.

Could there be issues ...sure...

However on this forum the only thing that counts is real posts from members of the forum that experienced any issues - not hearsay from other 3rd party sites.

We were at DRM Dec 31 - Jan 6. As far as we are aware, the resort never ran out of alcohol. I prefer good tequilas in the evening (Don Julio, Cuervo Tradicional) and the bartenders are very aware of what we drink; we were never without. As far as dinner - there was plenty of food, including beef. Initially someone told us we had to reserve a bottle of champagne or wine to reserve a table for dinner but, when we arrived, the butlers told us that was not the case and we were able to make a reservation. This was our 7th or 8th NYE at DRM and, in our opinion, by far the best. Again, simply our opinion respecting that others may not feel the same.
