So it looks like CC's bar was a complete loss due to the last hurricane. I am hopeful that RM will rebuild the bar but have not found any reliable information regarding this. Anyone have any updates on rebuilding efforts, when they will start, what is the expected completion date if rebuilding and what the new design may look like? We are going back in July on our usual dates 22nd-29th and hope it, CC's Bar, will be ready when we arrive.

We miss CC's as well. It was such a fun spot to hang out. And the drinks.... Always a good time. We don't have an official update but I did speak with CC last trip down (Nov 2020) and she said that plans are to rebuild and she would be back on the beach. We are headed back later this month. I will get more details and share.

We spoke with Mr. Rios when we were there for NYE and he showed us the new bar area. It will be built in the palapa by the beach where they used to do yoga and outdoor massages. They were in the process of framing it at that time. The bar will be on the beach side and the rest of the area will be a lounge area with seating and tables. It appears to be much larger than the old CC's bar.

Great update, thank you. We are looking forward to breaking in the new bar in July.

So happy to read this! CC's bar is my little getaway when we're hosting a takeover. Sometimes I'll slip over there for an hour and visit with Cici while she's making guests happy (and tipsy). I'm just a tad sad to hear the large gazebo/palapa won't be there any longer. We've witnessed weddings, celebrated milestone birthdays and done some amazing massages out there!!

This is open now, btw. It relocated slightly further north on the beach in the old yoga hut. Same number of seats at the bar as before but room for some tables.

Exactly right. We’re at DRM now, and it looks like they did a little add on at the north end of the yoga hut for CC. The bar is a fancy granite top and feels a bit larger than the old one, but maybe that’s just because the hut is much bigger. There’s still room for yoga or the romantic dinner experience next to the bar area.

It looks like most of the beach beds were destroyed. Are they going to re-build them?

I sure hope so. There’s probably a waiting list. The people who build those probably have a big backlog of orders from many resorts in that are.

They have until November.

Does anyone have any picture of the new bar? I can’t seem to find them on any of the promo pictures. We loved the old bar. So much fun!

The 'new' bar was destroyed a few weeks back with the latest hurricane. From what we've heard, it will not be rebuilt until hurricane / storm season is over.

Oh no!!! So sad to hear this. Thanks for the update.

We just got back. The old gazebo/new bar is destroyed. Only 6 beach beds left by the passion suites. The last hurricane broke the glass in front of the villas pool. The surf routinely was hitting the retaining wall. Sad to say Desire is fighting the ocean and losing. Quite a change over the last 13 years.

Can anyone that has been to RM recently give a update on Ci Ci’s bar?
