I have tried searching this but it comes up with nothing. Are the beach beds still at DRM or were they destroyed in the hurricane? My husband and I are headed there in August and that is the first place we go upon arrival - the beach to reserve a bed for the week. We will be so disappointed if there are no beach beds

We have friends there now who say there are a lot of chairs, but only a few beds down the beach near the pool. We'll be there next week and will have first hand info. I'll try to remember to post here once we know.

thank you @dinkswithkinks. I will be so disappointed if there are no beach beds near our oceanview room. Might have to reconsider DP if that is the case.

About half of the beach beds have survived, as of when we were there a few weeks ago.

We were there March 28- April 3 and I noticed fewer beds down toward the villas and CC's bar. It was never an issue getting a beach bed (and it was crowded), but I commented how it seemed there were fewer. In fact, we were in a bed one afternoon trying to have a little fun and the staff was there to fix the beds, propping them up on new supports and such, right next to us. Needless to say we came back later to have a re-do! I didn't ask if more beds were expected.

We were there in January and there were plenty of beds. Don't worry. Plus the beach was in the best condition we could remember. :-)

We love the beach at RM and would be VERY disappointed if the resort wasn't planning on replacing the destroyed beds.

We just left and they were adding more and more beds. We saw them building new beds, bringing them to the pool, and taking the replaced ones to the beach.
