Seafood restaurant(s) near DRM?

Hello friends,

We are heading to Desire RM in late July 2021. We are celebrating our wedding anniversary and would like to have at least one good lobster dinner during our stay. The resort has an offer for $280USD per couple, which seems kind of steep.

Would it be worthwhile to grab a cab and head into Puerto Morelos to find a good seafood place? I am not a fan of leaving the resort in general, but having good lobster is important to us.

You can order a lobster as part of your meal at any of the restaurants at DRM or Pearl - it's not part of the all inclusive so there is an up charge for it - good thing is you can just charge it to your room and settle up at checkout

There is no need for any fancy dinner package (unless you are interested - lol)

We’ve ate the lobster at DRM. I would say if you want a ‘good’ lobster dinner then yes you would need to leave the resort.

Last time I think it was a $35 or $40 upcharge. We definitely enjoy it grilled with garlic butter.
