Quick question regarding drinks at Desire....We have been doing more of the hard seltzers over the past year or so. 2 years ago when we were at Desire they were still fairly new to the market (really only White Claws) and they were nowhere to be found in Mexico. Now everyone and their brother have a version. Do they have some sort of seltzer at Desire or do I need to request it? The beer, wine, and hard liquor is fine, but it can get to be a bit much at times....Thanks!

You’ll want to request it and likely expect to pay or just stop and pick some up.

Express checkin is when you can ask for it to be provided but since it’s likely non-standard on the list of all-inclusive it might be cheaper to just bring some while traveling from the airport.

I didn't even think about just buying some at the duty free at the airport after we land! That is a great idea.

Can you buy at duty free and bring it to the room? If that’s the case buying a few bottles of nice wine and maybe a handle of Tito’s wouldn’t be a bad idea. I figured they would have a no outside booze policy and wife didn’t want to travel with wine for fear it would break and ruin our clothes for the week.

They do have good brands of liquor and wine but some with discerning tastes or faves bring some along.

One couple we met who have a vineyard and winery bring along their faves. They are set up for packing it along though.

Definitely take advantage at the airport for duty free where that’s an option for you or stop in at a liquor store on the way. Your driver will be good with an extra stop.

We just drink vodka, soda, lime. Same thing. Not sure how much y’all drink, but a 12 pack of trulys is good for maybe an evening for us. Would need a more than I want to know over the course of a week!!

We typically bring a few bottles merlot and cabs from home, as well as pick up a bottle of rum at duty free for the room. We like to have a cocktail in the room while getting ready for dinner and/or the evening fun. Then grab a couple liters of Havana Club on the return trip home......easy peasy.

We bring half a dozen bottles of different flavored gin and stick em behind the different bars

I’ve never looked for one but if they have a Sodastream behind the bar you can make a really good hard seltzer in any flavor for which you have the fruits.
