We would like everyone is naked but twice times when we've been there we've seen people dressed but isn't matter to us, we love feel DRM atmosphere, we understand DRM is not a five stars resort but we pay the price because we can make reality one of our fantasys One thing is true, if you don't enjoy to be at DRM, no problem, don't come back, when we will think like you we don't go back anymore.

Lol if I actually stayed there , please , like I have a reason to make this up. Stayed in deluxe ocean room 2215, room 2214 currently under remodel with no door on it just a sheet. My room had the new rfid door lock which was incorporated into your bracelet. Feel free to verify with someone there now.
Comical who the desire fanboys can’t take criticism and think people have to make things up

We were also in room 2215 back in May, 2214 had a door but it was vacant the whole time we were there.
The cigar guys were definitely selling drugs, they tried selling my wife weed at least twice a day every day. We would sunbath over by the volleyball court side, there were always at least 3 of the cigar guys standing/talking on the barrier between the resorts usually gawking; definitely made it uncomfortably at times. I understand in Mexico the beach is public and the resort can't do anything about it, but it was definitely happening. I don't know why they were there, I didn't see any of the guests buying from those guys and the desire staff were there watching like a hawk.
Our experience was about 50% nude, most of the clothed people were like us with the yellow bands. We were always naked at the hot tub, but wore bottoms at the beach(wife was topless). Next time we'll probably do nude at the pool too.
I agree with the assessment that the rooms weren't great and the food was so-so, but my-god the atmosphere at Desire was unlike anything we had ever experienced and the staff was amazing.
dnbinmi wrote:Previous to finding Desire RM and then Pearl (we love them both) we were long time Hedo fans. It was fun and practically the only game in town. That said, main reason for loving Desire by comparison, is that I (female) feel safer at Desire. I had been approached many times by single males at Hedo who wouldn't take no for an answer. What do they have to lose? I also was drugged at Hedo - very scary passing out at 6 pm and not fully concious until 3 am, so I would then get a drink everytime if I had not kept an eye on it.
Maybe the OP has not had any of these experiences. We have had trips where there seem to be more textiled, beautiful people and it doesn't affect our enjoyment at all as long as they are polite. We have encountered groups that are not so polite and we now avoid them. Maybe they should check to see if there was a group there and book around that.

If so then the important question is, did you report/complain to Desire security/management about the issue ??

The problem of the cartels in Quintana Roo is extremely serious. The previous governor, Roberto Borge, a prisoner since 2018, was in collusion with organized crime groups, but had them "under control" giving the appearance of security.
The next government (currently in power) tried to combat criminal groups, with terrible results. Now they act without any limit and have put civil society in danger - with their confrontations and revenge.
Everyone knows that drug dealers act with impunity in the daylight, but no one dares to do anything, as they could be the victims of retaliation by the bosses of these sellers.
It is a proven fact that practically all businesses, from a small shop to large hotels, must pay "fees" to this or that cartel, so that they can operate without risk. And one of those quotas is to look the other way when there is illegal activity "under their nose."
I am a supplier to hotel companies in the area and I have witnessed how, during the construction works, there are people from the cartels inside the buildings selling drugs to the workers and then treating them with threats and violence. Some providers are also charged for allowing them to work in the building. Two years ago I got rid of being a victim by a lucky chance, but my collaborators had already been warned that I would have to pay "right of use of floor fees".
That is the sad reality that we live in Mexico, where the Government has been overtaken by crime and we do not see any possibility of a solution in the short or medium term.
Last November and January I was at DRM and saw the "cigar vendors", but at least with me and my girlfriend they had a very respectful treatment, without pushing or uncomfortable presence.
At least once a month (except the last times, with the sargassum over the limits) I use to go to Desire Pearl's beach, to sunbathe in the nude; I've never seen those vendors in that beach.

And the final one from you "all the drug dealers constantly bothering you all day"

Desire, since it opened in 2003, has had two policies that set it apart from most other resorts - Clothing Optional and Lifestyle Friendly
So assuming that you did actually go to Desire recently, your bitch is with all the other guests that made a choice on how clothing optional they wanted to be at any given moment ??
That would be equivalent to a non Lifestyle couple (knowing that Desire was Lifestyle Friendly) complaining that their visit was ruined because Lifestyle activity was happening on the property .....
Next up on your fantasy list of complaints "a bunch of old men sitting around in bathing suits trying to catch a peek at the younger women"
LOL - do guys look at the ladies, sure - do the ladies look at the guys(and the other ladies) sure - but if you polled the 29,000 members of this forum the main response of a similar scenario has always resulted in all of the ladies indicating how safe and respected the have felt at Desire
