St. Patty’s day theme night question

On St. patty’s day. It is supposed to be glow night but they also say to wear green. So…which is it? Can anybody confirm? Just want to make sure we have the appropriate costumes without bringing an extra unneeded one with. Thanks.

I just go with some shiny green briefs and a light up St. Patrick’s necklace. The problem I have is never knowing what kind of shoes to wear with that kind of outfit.
