Cancun Mayor arrested on charges of drug trafficing

I have generally always hated the way these types posts 'turn out' on this board or the previous resort board, however, it is good information for those with travel plans over the next year or so to monitor.

For the record - this report does not affect our travel plans this summer to Cozumel or in October to Desire, we're just sharing information & definitely not fear mongering. It seems that the unrest in Northern Mexico, Acapulco and Mexico City comes after such blatant political corruption comes to light, that being said a cautious traveller is a safer traveller.
