We are a 30'ish Canadian cpl considering a Desire vacation in spring or summer 2011. We would like to go during a week when there is a good population in the late 20's to early 40'ish age range. Could anyone recommend some good groups for this range and what time of year they normally go? Thanks for any advice.

NL -> There are quite a few discussions on different groups and ages throughout the forum.. You may want to take a quick peek at those. Many of the groups repeat year after year -> So the information from 2010 would likely still apply (with the caveat that we will all be a year older

Historically, I have found that I am in the younger bracket (we've been travelling down there for the last 5 years and I am now 34) - but no matter what, I have always had a fantastic time!

I really recommend that you take a peek at the other comments regarding age, as they are right on the money.

Take a look at the desirousparty.com website. They sometimes have trips down to desire and are a "younger" group. Not necessarily a swingers group but definitely know how to party.

We've never traveled with them but have gone to quite a few parties they've sponsored.

It would be nice if Desire had some weeks with different age groups. It would also be nice if they had weeks with certain BMI body mass index restrictions too.
Just dreaming here but think about it.

I can understand a very young couple looking for a time and group to go with where there would be more than the normal number of younger couples with whom they might share more common interests and experiences- even though they might find that the "generation gap" ceases to exist for most folks at Desire.
BUT- a certain Desire week with BMI restrictions ? LOl- why stop there ? How about a week where the ladies had to have at least a "C" cup ? Or the guys have to have a minimum of 7" penises ? Lets see- how about no unsightly scars, body hair restrictions, etc.
Wouldn't that be great ?

I think we'll be happier with Desire just the way it is- with the wonderful cross section of people of every persuasion that makes it interesting.

Variety is the spice of life...

We just got back from Desire last week. We are 51 and 44. We encountered all ages, we got freaky with ages 22 and beyond, sexy is way, way, way, more than age. We saw pot bellied 30's, and hard body 50's....so get over it. Have a conversation and you might be surprised.

Could not agree with RandT1 and Mfay more...the GREAT thing about Desire is NON judgement...thats the very essence of why we all go I think....Fat,thin,small ,big,black,white,purple,flawed,notflawed...who gives a shit...we are all friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeh, I certainly wouldn't stress a tonne about age. With 100+ rooms you'll likely find more than enough people to "play" with if you are so inclined, regardless of when you go.

My wife and I were 39 and 41 when we went for the first time last year and although we probably wouldn't have guessed it before hand, by far the most attractive (in all senses of the word) couples to us were those who were older than us (late 40's and 50's). They tended to be way more relaxed and secure in who they were versus the younger crowd.

Please don't take that as a sales pitch for 40 and 50 year old's . . but rather that you should just go when it suits you best from a time perspective and you may just be surprised by who and what actually turns your crank while you are there . .

The younger "group" that was there when we were had so much drama amongst themselves it was almost ridiculous.

Not the kind of entertainment we were looking for on our Desire Cancun trip.

Maybe you should consider a Temptations Cancun trip?

Hmmm....speaking of ages...we will be going to Desire in December (first timers at both Desire and clothing optional)....we are both 62.....I am assuming we will probably be the oldest people there (although very young at heart, I can assure you!), but I am hoping there will be some at least not too far from our ages. From reading this forum I understand there is no "average" age that can be calculated, but what can some of you Desire veterans tell us about our chances of finding some people not TOO far from our age. Don't misunderstand....we are hoping to make many new friends of all ages....just would like to feel like we are not so old we are mistaken for chaparones! LOL

You will not be alone in your age group - you may be more in the minority - but then we didn't see many, if any, 20 year olds. I'd say the average age when we were there was mid 50's.

Except for the 'drama group', everyone was having great time - day and night.
