Mid March - They were driving some pillars into the ground, construction vehicles with back up sensors, but overall it is far from noisy and the noise didn't start till ~9am.

No construction was being performed on the current section of the resort, only the "new expansion" area.

Thanks for the update. Sounds like it's unlikely to be ready in 2023, and 2024 might be a "maybe".

How was the beach? In December it was completely gone other than the part by the pool. Any better now?

We were previously there in October - so the beach was in much, much better condition this Spring but not where it was 5+yrs ago.

The limestone protruding out of the sand walking down to the beach bar which we encountered in October was fully covered in sand, which made it easier to stroll. Less "rocks" in the surf-line as well, so wading out was a bit gentler on the feet.
Seaweed tho - ugh. High winds/storm brought in the sargassum like no other, the turquoise water turned brown and thick. The next day it was clear...

thanks for the update! Were there beds on the beach where there used to be, or still just by the pool area?

We used to spend most of the day on the beach, and made many friends from the nearby beds and in the water. Last year in several trips, there was barely anyone there...

Beach beds - there are ~6 on the sand facing the VB court. There are ~12 loungers, and ~6 circle pods on the area by the VB court.

There are ~4 beds down the beach reserved for the "villas". Along the wall on the beach in front of the Ocean Front Passion Suites are the circle pods and random loungers. Beach bar there are ~4 loungers on the N side and ~4 by the stairs up S side.

Beach area by the VB courts was pretty busy, all the beds full daily. As you head toward the beach bar it was empty.

Hi all! We usually go to Pearl but are going to mix it up and hit RM in November. Can anyone give us feedback on the construction? Is it disruptive? Noisy? Are there areas we should avoid when it comes to room choice?

Thanks!

Not very disruptive, unless you are at the rooms on the northernmost edge of the resort. Even there, the work is only happening during mostly regular daytime working hours, and not at all on Sundays.
