Place to jog

We are heading down for our first trip in 10 days after several trips to Temptations. We absolutely love the nice running path right on the main strip in Cancun. Is there anything comparable near Desire? Is it safe to just leave the resort and head out for a run? We prefer sidewalks or streets where we aren't going to get flattened by a hotel van.

The resort is surrounded by mangroves. It's not wise to be walking or running along the road. Crocs in the swamp might think your an appetizer. Desire really isn't the kind of place you go and do allot of working out. Other than stress anyways. LOL

The beach is runnable, especially to the north....

Agreed, put on your skimpy speedo's and run the beach...the road isnt good for running, or go to the gym and do the treadmill for a few hours, lol.... but dont tire yourself out. ha ha ha.

If you want to run outside, the beach is pretty much it. The gym does have nice new treadmills if you are willing to run inside.

We usually run the road a few times each trip. It is not for the timid. You'll have to get up before 7am to run it safely, later than that and there is too much traffic. We run down the main road and then take the road to the left that goes to Secrets as far as it goes as there is less traffic on that part.
