We've got some time off and are considering going to Desire in the middle of September. We were at Desire Cabo before it switched to Temptations, but never to Cancun. How's the weather in Cancun in September? Hurricanes an issue?
Thanks,
J&C

Hurricanes certainly can be an issue in September. But we have been there every Sept since 04 and never had a problem. The two times Desire has been hit have been in Oct and July. We ALWAYS buy good travel insurance for our Sept Desire trips.
Weather in Sept is of course pretty hot- 90 daytime and mid 70's at night. The water in the pool and ocean tends to be almost bathwater warm. Usually there are a couple very short pop-up showers during a typical week.
By the way- we still have rooms available for the Ynot's week Sept 3-11 if you'd care to join us !

We're booked for 9/11-9/18. The weather in Cancun is not unlike what we have here in southern Georgia that time of year, so we're okay with the heat and scattered showers. I still think it's prudent to get travel insurance though.

Thanks for the quick replies. We'll look into the insurance.
mfay - the group looks like a lot of fun, but we can't make it that week. Thanks for the offer, though!
nacent - If we book, it'll be starting the 11th - so maybe we'll see you there!

Hi gang! Poolboy is back. Hurricanes are always an issue in September. Wilma chased us out of Desire on our first visit there in October. We have been every year since except one. 3 of our visits were in September. Trip insurance is a cheap benefit to have during hurricane season.
