Spa questions -- everything *except* the erotic massages :)

Hi, we'll be visiting DRM for the first time later this summer. My wife and I are both a no-go for taking on an erotic massage, though we've read great things -- it's just not for us.

That being said, we'd like to do a "regular" couples massage -- either the Relaxing Massage or Deep Tissue -- and have sex either in the treatment room or the sauna itself. Reading the menu, they advise to arrive 40 minutes prior. Some questions:

  • Is the 40 minutes spent prior to the massage time for you to use the sauna, steam room, etc. at your discretion? Or is this time in the treatment room for just the two of us?
  • Can you stay in your treatment room after the massage is over? For how long?
  • As I understand it, there's a steam room, sauna, and individual showers that are available to all resort guests to use for free at any time. I've also read that the sauna and steam room are underutilized and a good opportunity for sex. Is there an indoor jacuzzi also available?
  • We'll be arriving around Noon prior to check-in, and I've also read that the spa is a good place to get changed for the day. Is this the recommended approach or do folks get changed in a lobby or pool restroom?
  • Is there a general time of day that feels best for having a massage?
  • 25 vs. 50 minutes? 50 just seems like a long time to be getting a non-erotic massage!
Thanks!

My understanding with the new spa, it will cost you extra to utilize the sauna or steam rooms now, unless you are getting massage. I did encourage them to make that included for no extra cost if you are a member. In the old spa I used the sauna daily for free.

Every "regular" massage I've ever had has been an hour.
