weather to expect in mid-December.....

We are hoping all you experienced Desire people will be able to help with a weather question. Our first trip Desire (or Cancun, for that matter) is coming up in mid-December. Of course, we can easily find a weather chart for daily temps in Cancun. However, we would much rather hear from those who have been there...on the beach and in the pool and hot tub...during that period. Is it quite cool in the evenings? Are we likely to need long pants, and long sleeves? Is the pool warm enough to swim in comfortably (without being a member of the Polar Bear Club)? Any experiences you have all had with Desire in December as relates to what we can expect temperature-wise and what clothes we should bring (yeah, I know...as little clothes as possible, LOL), would be much appreciated!

We were there last year from Dec. 6-11. The weather was beautiful. I would say mid 80's during the day and mid 70's at night. we used the pool and beach without a problem. My wife, who HATES cold weather was very comfortable. For example she was able to get body painted and sit outside all evening and enjoy the entertainment with relatively little else on. I would go back that time again.
