Last time we were at Desire I could sit at the lobby bar and use our laptop with no problems. Now I'm wondering if the signal will reach the location where the new "beach beds" are behind the lobby bar.

Can someone who is heading down there soon check this out for us? Thanks so much!

The only person I ever saw on those beds during our entire trip there a couple weeks back was actually surfing this site on his laptop, so I'd have to say the signal was fine!

In regards to your question of Wifi, you should be fine. As always though, the lobby bar area as stated seems to have the best signal. It really is hit and miss in some of the buildings, but we did have pretty good luck as far as the passion suit rooms.

All in all, much better coverage then it was years back.

In regards to your question of Wifi, you should be fine. As always though, the lobby bar area as stated seems to have the best signal. It really is hit and miss in some of the buildings, but we did have pretty good luck as far as the passion suit rooms.

Thanks to "both" of you (PowderFinger and DesireWeek43). I think that's about the only reason we would use those beds, although it was nice to sit at the bar and enjoy my morning "happy cappies". But it's an alternative!

The last time our room location was behind the beach bed. The signal was really bad. we were forced to go before dinner near the lobby to get good signal.

We had a strong signal on our Ipad. We were at the beds on the north end of the beach.

Wifi reception was poor on our Blackberrys. Had to sit within a few feet of the lobby just to get a signal. I did see someone with a Netbook functioning well up by the northern beach beds.

I was able to play online poker, drink all day and watch beautiful naked women pass by me every 10 seconds while watching my wife read her kindle. Good reception by the beach bar...great vakay.
