Any info on this weather witch.....Hurricane Paula, yet? Looks like she could cause some trouble - Anyone have any updates from the resort ?
We know people that are THERE now?

Just got word from a friend who got word from the people we know that are in DESIRE NOW.......here is his message:

â€œAbsolutely no one (staff wise) seems too nervous here. Itâ€™s supposed to turn north and skirt the coast apparently, then hit Cubaâ€¦ but weâ€™ll have to wait and see.â€

As of the 4PM update it looks to be tracking further to the east, so the Yucatan may miss most of what Paula has to deliver

That stinks. This is our first trip to desire cancun & our only complaint about desire cab was the lack of a beach to lay out on. We are arriving Friday.

There was very little beach last November but as long as there are beach beds, it's all good!

I just got done talking to a friend that is also there. I asked about the beach being gone and how they were doing. The reply was that whoever said that is full of B.S. They haven't had any wave action at all and it rained for about 20 minutes 4 hours ago. He did say they pulled the place apart near the beach and that they will have quite a day putting it back together, but with the most recent tracking, Desire should be ok.

Our group is heading out there a week from saturday (oct 23rd). We have a group chat tomorrow night and He is planning on joining from Desire. So, I will post any news that I get from that.
