What do you call it Desire or Desire's?

The name of the resort is Desire Resort & Spa.

Why do some insist upon Desire's????

Possibly because they think DESIRES is its name.

I call it paradise.

We know one couple that call it Desire's. It seems such a trivial thing and yet every time they say it it's like nails on a chalkboard to me. I asked them once why they called it that and he said "because that's its name". To which i replied no it's not, just look at the logo it says Desire. I've noticed most people talk about Temptations as well when its name is Temptation resort spa.

Totally agree....seems silly BUT definitely nails on a chalkboard to us as well.

we call it "fantasy island". you can call it whatever you "Desire"...

for the same reason they call the make of their car FORD's

or they shop at Walmart's

of they like NASCAR

If making a reference to the past, they may be speaking of the time there was more than one Desire Resort.

I've heard someone say that too..."Desire's" I was like come on dude! Then just last year I heard someone say "Hedoo" I said huh? they said "you know "Hedoo" I choked on my drink.
