My wife had mentioned to me what about a drink of the day at the main bar? How really hard would it for the bar tenders to coordinate food and beverage manager. I found it a really good way to move liquor that was slow. So just saying ,anyone else have an opinion on this ??????????

I would be up for that. I am always open to try new/different drinks. This trip, I tasted a "Desire" for the first time. Plus, the Jacuzzi bartender would make different drinks for me to try.

We always ask the bartender what the "drink of the day" is.

We love Mudslides, although one a day is plenty for me.

The bartenders always seem to come up with something and, as well, we have seen a drink menu at the lobby bar and have tried various drinks off of it.

One we enjoyed was called a "Black Sand" (I think). I think it had Kahlua, Sambuca and maybe something else. But it was sure good.

One of the best drinks we've ever had is called a Summer Special. They are really easy to make, but we can't make them at Desire because we can't find one crucial ingredient in Cancun....frozen Limeade. Here's the recipe so you can make it at home, but here's the disclaimer. I am not responsible for how drunk you get, what you do while drinking them, and how you feel the next day! :D

Into a large pitcher
1 can/container frozen Limeade
Refill can with water and pour into pitcher
Refill can with gin and pour into pitcher

-Refill can with ice and put into blender with as much of drink mix as the blender can handle
-Run blender until ice is broken up/crushed
-Pour blended portion back into pitcher with rest of drink

Pour into glass, top off 1/4 of glass with club soda, and enjoy! :D
