What to do if it rains...?

This August we are making our third trip to Desire. It will be our first during the summer and the commonly rainy hurricane season. Knowing how much fun it is to lounge all day by the pool, and in the Jacuzzi, and on the roof top beds; we are a little worried about what the resort does if we happen to catch a week of rainy weather!
Has anybody been to Desire during a wet weather period? How does it change the trip? What do you do all day in rain? Does the fun move inside or do you just ignore the rain and huddle in the Jacuzzi all day?

We have been there when it rained most afternoons and early evening. We just went to the hot tub and made the best of it. There are many covered locations that you can hang out and talk, etc. It sucks when it rains but you make the most of it however possible!

Outstanding post! We're arriving 7/27 and were just discussing the bad weather possibilities.... While I can understand the jacuzzi still being fun with some rain, 75 mph plus winds on the roof top and stairs could be "off putting"...

What indoor alternatives (other than rooms of course) do they have????

Left off the fact our last 3 trips have been the same late July to early August time frame and no rain

We've been there every September since 04- and while it is not uncommon to have a storm come through it is unusual to actually have days when it rains all day or for several hours at a time. On those rare occasions when it has though- they usually set up some activities in the disco during the day to help people keep entertained.

Does anyone remember back in Aug 09 the swarm of bees by the pool?

We've been 3 times in early August and other than a quick shower no rainy days. I was there in June and had 2 solid days of either sprinkle to heavy downpour. They got 2 inches of rain per day. The activity staff had cornhole and a movie playing in the disco. Most people either stayed in their rooms having their own fun

or gathered at the lobby bar and other under cover places.

OK, this may be a typo, but I've got to ask for clarification....

We were there the first week of June and it rained the last 2 days of the trip. We just started drinking earlier in the day than usual and hit the hot tub as soon as it opened. On they second day they were showing Eyes Wide Shut in the disco.

We've been 5 times either in August or September. Each trip was 6-8 days. We've never experienced rain for longer than an hour, except for the year that hurricane Dean rolled through. Even then it only rained during the night, but with the storm hitting nobody could go outside anyway. They moved everybody to what is now Temptations for a couple nights to ride out the storm and clean up the Desire property. Heck the first time there, we arrive late in the day, the pool was full with no chairs. We got to the room unpacked and it started to rain. Everyone dissappeared from the pool and we had no trouble getting a chair. 5 minutes later the sun came out for the rest of the day and we had our spot poolside.

You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning. (As seen on a t-shirt)
In our 7 July trips we have seen our share of rain. You make the best of it. Hot tub is a good spot until the lightening starts. As someone else mentioned they will open the disco.

Cornhole is a game.
Cornhole or Corn Toss is similar to horseshoes except you use wooden boxes called cornhole platforms and corn bags instead of horseshoes and metal stakes. Contestants take turns pitching their corn bags at the cornhole platform until a contestant reaches the score of 21 points. A corn bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point.
