Who connects before going?

My wife and I have talked about finding a group or connecting with other couples before going to desire resort in January. I'm just wondering how common it is to connect before going to this type of resort for the first time?

Does anyone chat on webcams? Or send pictures to know who you're meeting?

We're a little worried that it will take us a few days to get loosened up and think it would be cool to know some people going and what they are after while they are there.

Maybe we should just make a deal to walk-in, head to the jacuzzi and just go for it right away to break the nervous feelings?

We have found that its fun to chat with people before arriving. It makes it easier (at least for us) to assimilate.

We have met people from this site as well as from the Yahoo groups.

You will have a great time either way!

We've been reading stuff the last couple weeks and pricing out vacations. It seems like January/febuary is far away as far as groups are concerned. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated. Maybe if you're planning a trip at the same time let me know, it would be fun to connect with some other couples.

I suggest that you should post in the Jan or Feb '12 Roll Call sections where you can meet others going in those months - not in this general section.

There is almost always private Yahoo groups set up for each month where you can meet others and also post pictures.

It may be just a bit early for much Yahoo group action for Jan or Feb '12 at this point in time
