Thought I would post the image that I have on my desktop background at work. Lots of people stop by office and say "wow that's beautiful, where is that?" I say, "It's near Cancun"....."What resort is that?"....."I don't know, but I'd like to go there some day!"
This picture was taken last May and I believe it's the latest aerial photo of the resort. We just happen to be in the picture on a beach bed. Lots of others from this site were there too!

Kind of subversive, knowing what is in the picture yet hidden from the casual observer.
Must make the workday a lot more "bareable".

thanks for the reminder about what is important in life!

What a great photo! The aerial we have is from years ago when the pier was still there.
We'd like to replace our old photo with this one in our Yahoo group's "Resort Photos" album. Where did you find it?

Does this exist anywhere in a higher resolution? Looks great, but it doesn't blow up that well for something like a desktop background.

It was taken on or around 5/12/11. They used an inflatable blimp tethered to a boat and a remote controlled camera.
If you go to the main Desire Cancun site and click on "virtual tour" under gallery you will find where I got the pic. I just zoomed in, took a screen shot, and crop it a bit.
I do have a much better resolution suitable for a background. Send me a PM with your email address and I'll send the file to you.

Sure does bring back GREAT memories. We happen to have been there when they were flying the blimp around.
Can not wait until we return in May again - Our annual Anniversary trip !
