All Inclusive For Dummies

Postby 2quiet » Wed Jan 16, 2013 7:59 pm

We have never been to an All Inclusive and are wondering about the a la carte restaurants. Do you order anything off the menu that you want? Can you order 2 of an item (say I wanted to try 2 different appetizers) or do you order just one of each course. Could you eat at 2 different restaurants the same night if you were starving (or if you were just a glutton) :D We don’t drink so we are planning on eating our moneys worth.

Also is there anywhere you can view the current restaurant menus?

Yes, you can order multiple entrees/appetizers/desserts off the menu. In fact, since all 3 restaurants are served from the same kitchen you can order off the asian menu in the international restaurant and vice versa*. I don't think this applies to the buffet, since it's a... err... buffet.

There are a range of a la carte items at the bottom of each menu (larger steaks etc if I remember correctly) that have an additional charge, for those you get what you pay for.

D

* We did this one night, we had gathered a party together and wanted to eat at the asian restaurant, but there was only room at the international one.

The direct answer, "yes" you can order as much as you want and/or duplicates and I suppose you could hope restaurants too; but as adxx points out - there is no reason to. Good thing you don't drink, most of the house wine was awful. You can buy steaks at an extra charge in the international restaurant (name slips me), but why I-don't-know, as that I found the house steak to be excellent. Aside from the wine, I can't say anything bad about any of the restaurants. The outdoor poolside cafe is good also, except that they allow smoking.
