Strange Question

Hi all,

My wife and I are planning a trip to Desire Riviera Maya in Feb or early March - this forum has definitely been a huge help in answering questions we've had as well as alleviating some of apprehension about the atmosphere and people that go.

My question is strange as it doesn't relate to any of the lifestyle questions that have been asked. My traditional trips usually include a lot of activity - basketball being my #1 requirement for past resorts. What kind of activities does Desire have (gym facilities, basketball court, running paths etc.)?

Thanks in advance!

I was working out 6 days per week before last trip and honestly only hit gym 2x last time. No basketball. U can run on beach if u want. Sand gravity hits me hard on vacation and dont feel like doing anything.

Here is a link to pictures of the gym at Desire Riviera Maya

There are no basketball courts, but there are Tennis courts.
Sand and Water team volleyball are regular items and they do offer Yoga and Pilates classes.

We thought we saw a basketball hoop on the tennis courts????

If you want exercise make sure to join in the poolside games in the afternoon

However Angela says with all the sights you are better off planning on sitting in your lounge and exercising your eyes!

Sorry, not addressing the original post, just saw the last post and I just love your profile name....TandAinIL. Excellent!

By the way, she's right, plenty of exercise just watching and/or hanging around the pool, hot tub, disco, etc...!

There are basketball hoops at the tennis courts - once we had a room just beside them and had quite a lot of BB noise - bouncing balls etc. (basket balls bouncing, what did you think?), we think it was mostly off-duty staff.

Fantastic news! Thanks so much all, see you the first week of March. I'll be practicing my ball handling skills :)
