Is Edgar...the best bartender...still there?

Hello,
We are making our 6th trip to Desire in February. We were curious if Edgar is still working there. Maybe some of you who have returned from a trip recently could let us know...we haven't seen his name mentioned in any recent trip reports.

Yes Edgar is still there. He was working the Lobby bar just last week. The mixed drinks were the best from the Lobby bar.

Yes, Edgar is the best ! When he and David (for any of you who remember him) were together at the lobby bar they could handle 100 people like it was 10 and put on a show while doing it. David is long gone from Desire now, but Carlos has become almost as good.
One of my few pet peeves about Desire- that I have passed along to management several times- is
that they don't put their best bartenders in the "hot" locations at the busy times. They insist on this weekly or monthly rotation. So on some weeks you get stuck with rookies at the lobby bar after dinner when the crowd is heavy, or at the hot tub bar at 5:00 pm when it is packed.

Very true.....we hope he has the lobby bar when we are there. Last trip, Edgar was "stuck" up at the Jacuzzi bar @ night......hardly anyone there until the disco closed....what a waste of a good bar tender.
