best time to go to desire RM

Hi we are planning our tripto desire RM and we are facing a doubt.... which will be the best time of the year to book our holiday ther in terms of rain and temperature?
Since we are in eu we are thinking about the winter period oct to feb in order o avoid at least one week of cold! Does it sound reasonable?

We have only been in late January and we had decent weather temperature wise. The cloudy days were a bit chilly but not like it would be at home.

Since we are from the rainy part of Canada, we travel to minimize rainfall when heading south. October is still tail end of hurricane season so always a risk. We go in Feb to Cancun with Feb to April being lowest rainfall times and highs in the 8o's F (26C or more).

The average monthly rainfall days are as follows:
Oct- 16.3 days
Nov - 12.4
Dec - 10.6
Jan - 10.5
Feb - 5.4

Unfortunately Desire rates are usually highest in Jan to April period. We last went to Desire RM in Feb and had one week with no rain. Made us Wetcoast people happy.

And we go at the end of October, beginning of November. We usually have dry weather. Last Halloween was a little cold in the evenings.

Thanks everyone for the info!
We try to check the average temperature today and seems that during the "winter" period might be cold in the evening.
We are looking a proper summer (we came from UK) so may be is better come in April-July. Also exploring this fabulous forum we find out that the rooms are cheaper in that period and the crowd is usually younger. Is that right?
Moreover we are thinking to go when there is a group takeover. Any suggestion about which group is more suitable for a 26-29 yo couple at the first experience?

We visited Pearl late October/ early November last year and it definitely wasn't cold! We didn't have even one cloudy or rainy day. Of course temperatures were slightly lower during the night when sun was "off" but warm enough to walk around barely dressed at all.
It's great to escape miserable weather at that time of the year so we coming back to check out RM and revisit Pearl.
