Sailing?

Postby bmwdtd » Tue Jun 18, 2013 10:43 pm

We saw that RM has Hobie Cat sailboats and there is also a larger Catamaran Sailboat available for snorkeling charters. Does anyone have any recent info on this? Everything I've seen is rather outdated.

Are the Hobie's available for guests to take out themselves or do you go with a staffer? I own a Hobie so would rather go alone.

How do we go about booking the larger Cat? Some info I've seen makes it look like there is one moored there at the resort ready for charter. Looks like you have to get your own group together to go. We also would rather go with Desire guests, not a bunch of tourists thrown together from different resorts. This is our first time to Desire so don't have a group we can just call up to go. Any other info no the larger Cat? We do actually want to snorkel and sight-see so don't want a booze cruise or a drunken orgy on deck. (well maybe some of that!)

Initially you would have to go with one of the guys from the watersports area, but once you have shown them that you can handle the Hobie you can book time on it just by yourself.

The cat that was moored at Desire RM is no longer there, not enough business to make it profitable.

Snorkeling trips out to the reef can be arranged on site at Desire while you are there.

The reps at Desire RM have a days sailing on a cat to sell if they can generate enough interest. Fully nude etc...

Alternatively, you can get you own party together and book through here:

Not tried it but the link was posted up elsewhere...

We had our first experience at nudist or lifestyle friendly resort in January (and other first experiences as well...) at Pearl.
The only element missing for Pearl to fully fulfill our definition of paradise was the fact that no sailboats were available: well, there are always some idiosyncrasies with regards to one's conception of heaven, plus I am a former catholic converted to atheism, so my point of view on such aspects is by definition irrelevant.
This time, we are going to RM: I am THRILLED to learn that they have small cataramans...
Will I believe in God again?
We'll see...
