Two pictures of the beach and beach beds from the water at the north end of the resort in the early morning (at great risk of water damage to the camera - which didn't happen thank goodness!) From our August trip...

These are the "Large" size photos from Flickr- hope they don't overload the system, but the "Medium" size were quite small in preview mode...

I honestly don't remember the number. If you started at the North end of the beach, it was the second building from the end, the room on the ground floor on the North end of the building. If you were standing on the beach looking at it, it would be the second building from the left, the room on the right end of the building.

It was a great place to watch the sun rise.

Based on your description and the resort layout map
http://desireresorts.19.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=92

That would be the 2200 OV building, room number 2205

Fountain in Lobby

Postby wbski » Mon Dec 21, 2009 2:18 am

The last time we were there in 2006 was just after their rebuild from the hurricane. They had a fountain right in the middle of the lobby which I complained bitterly about, as I saw a guest fall into it. I myself stepped into in it accidentally once.

From the posted pictures, I didn't see the fountain. Question is, did they finally remove the fountain over safety concerns?

Block 20 Rm 2012

Postby tonydebs » Fri Jan 28, 2011 4:39 pm

Hiya.. we stayed in Room 2012 on our first visit back in 2008. It was a passionsuite on fist floor of block 20. Very nice and spacious, but on balance would have preferred one of the newer block passion suites as probably a bit fresher decorated and more sociable over there. We have been back 3 times since and enjoyed a regular ocean view. Will be back again Jun 2011 and have a mix of rooms booked for our stay. It's a great place ... totally addicted ... Ann & Glynne
