Our cover story for our family is wearing thin. We were wondering what other folks use as their cover story for their trips to desire. Love to hear them.

We're just vague about "a hotel in Mexico". Although my mum is getting suspicious that there are never any people in our photographs of the pool and beach! Keep telling her we take pics early on the way to breakfast (true) and that people make our pictures untidy!

Secrets Siversands would be a good "cover." It is adult only and about a mile south of Desire. It is part of AM Resorts, which has a total of around 25 resorts, mostly in Mexico. I usually walked to it and back from Desire as part of my morning walk. In fact I've walked through portions of the resort a few times (no wristbands are required). You could even take a few pics to show people when you get home. Get on the company website (and/or Trip Advisor) and become famiiar with it. Getting off topic, but during the winter of 2013 we spent a week at Secrets Maroma Beach which is about a 10 mile drive from Desire and is situated on one of the best beaches (if not the best) in the Riviera Maya. We still prefer Desire, but for a "vanilla" resort, we thought it was truly excellent. Beautiful rooms and facilities, choice of 7 a la carte restaurants, good bars, top shelf liquor, excellent service, entertainment, etc.... Went with another couple so Desire wasn't an option at the time.

We are both already out to our daughters (22 & 20), friends, and coworkers as nudists. We also openly listen to swing related podcasts (Swing w/Mike & Holly, Life on the Swingset, etc) at home and in the car so even though we haven't yet had a lifestyle encounter it would likely not come as a surprise to anybody in our friends/family.

We are like BriJen - most people (friends, family and co-workers) know we enjoy nude vacations so they don't ask any more. What we have said in the past, though, is that we are going to 'some timeshare that we don't remember the name of at the moment'. That seems to work as well.

I just ask them if they really wanted to know. Most did. So I told rhem. When we got back they wanted to know what it was like. I told them that it needed to be on their bucket list.

Our families know that we go to Hedo and to Desire. When other people ask we tell them Jamaica/Mexico and if they ask where, we tell them Negril/Cancun. If they press further and ask what resort, we usually tell them.

Since both of us have been disowned by our families we don't worry about a cover story any more. Before we would just say that we were going to an adult only resort so that we could relax around the pool with out a lot of children running around making a lot of noise. If they kept asking questions we would tell that the resorts names was Desire and if they were that nosy they could do an internet search. Since they don't pay our bills we don't worry about what they think.

We usually say that, what with the recession and all, the hotels are never full so we don't book a hotel before going, we just hire a car and stay where we find ourselves.

Ever since we started going to Desire I have made it a point to NEVER again ask anyone where they are staying when they go away (unless it is clearly a family vacation.....)....

We always use Secrets Silversands. It works well because we actually did stay there once. They don't use wristbands. So if you really need a cover story, for people who are overly curious, just walk up to the hotel and take a few pics, works every time.

Our next trip in early april will be our 4th trip since July of 2012 and we have Labor Day weekend booked already as well. People keep asking why we always go back to cancun. May just say we bought a fractional ownership condo now since the "we are going to Azul" is getting old and I would feel bad if someone said we are going to that azul place too since you guys love it so much.

For a while everyone just thought I forgot the name of the resort due to my deer in the headlights look when they asked the name of the resort we were going to. I'm actually glad I didn't lie about it, because the husband of one of my employees stopped by my desk to delve deeper. Turns out he used to be a travel agent and knows most of the resorts between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. I didn't see a look of recognition when I broke down and told him we were going to Desire, but if I'd lied I'm pretty sure he would have been familiar with any other resort I named.
Unfortunately, this gentleman is very outgoing so I can't count on his discretion. I'm assuming the cat is out of the bag at work at this point.
