Ok...Unscientific poll here...
What is YOUR fav drink served at Desire? Is there a fav bartender that makes that drink?

My favorite drink is called "white sand". David made this drink up for me several trips ago. Now all the bartenders know how to make it. But Carlos is the best!

I hope you still will try one after I tell you... vodka, tequilla, rum, gin, a splash of lime juice and coconut creme blended well. If made right, you don't taste any alcohol. Very sweet and very dangerous. I have seen a few people "go down".

Wow! That I will have to try. Sounds potent.
Another Desire trip report mentioned a "Pink Pussy".....Vodka, Sprite with a splash of cranberry juice.

Do tell what is in your drinks!! Always looking for new drinks but like to know what might be in them - flavor and booze!
We like a Miami Vice to change up from a Mudslide with 'Baileys'. Have been drinking 'Pink Pussies' for many trips but never knew that was its name!!! A 'Desire' is good, too.

Our usual is to start off the day with a Miami Vice - half pina colada and half strawberry daq (or rum runner if you are from Miami). Then we transition to Havana Club and diet coke w/lime.......YUMMY!
Damn it - 5 1/2 more months until we are there!!!!

That sounds like a great "pick me up drink"!
I've read where many people bring their own re-fillable cups for drinks....I can only find either a smaller 16 oz mug or the monster 32 oz and larger jugs (too big).
Can any recommend a place to get decent, good size travel mug that will keep the coffee hot and the cold drinks cold??

Sure, you'll laugh at me though.....I had taken my 52 ounce football Bubba Keg for the past 6 trips but I finally gave it away during our trip to Desire Cabo last month. This one couple loved it so much, and they were having such a great time, I thought I would extend my football mug to them.
Anyway, I've had luck at our local grocery store and if all else fails, eBay has a ton of different sizes, colors, shapes, etc....! Usually very good deals and free shipping. Good luck and be creative becuase it's certainly a conversation starter. I can't tell you the number of people that came up to talk to me about my football mug......a little side bonus....LOL!!!
All kidding aside, it does a great job of keeping hot drinks hot and of course cold drinks cold. AND, at Desire Cancun, it also means less trips in and out of the pool to hit the bar.

Mojitos!!:) They didn't (couldn't? wouldn't?) make them when we went to Desire Cancun back in June 2007. June of 2008 at Desire Cabo, they made them and they were FABULOUS!
We are heading back to Desire Cancun this June and I'm hoping that they will make them this time.

You can get mojitos at desire in Cancun if you ask the right person. When were there last April our conceirge offered to get mint leaves for us so that we could have mojitos.
He brought a giant bag when he came to work the next day and we had great mojitos all week. Naturally, we rewarded him handsomely for his dedication.
It was great having the only mint leaves in the resort as it made me real popular with the mojito drinking women
