Any update on new resort going in next to DRM?

Does anyone know information about the resort going in near DRM? Is it to the North of DRM? How close is it? What size is planned? Has construction started and when does it expect to open?

It is the property to the immediate south of DRM. the owners are the large Barclay's group, due to open mid 2015.

I'm not sure currently which hotel group will be operating the resort, however I do know that it is planned as an adult only place, topless at the pool and beach with an upscale sexy vibe - similar in concept to what was recently tried at the Oasis Viva in the Cancun HZ before Dreams bought it and will convert to a family resort this Sept.

From all accounts it should and could be a nice complimentary match to Desire RM.

Fabulous! Desire & Temptation could do with a bit of friendly competition. It was a pity Grand Oasis Viva never really gave it a proper go, the world is crying out for more adult, sexy, fun resorts!

The name of the resort is supposed to be Breathless, they have another property under that name and concept. It is supposed to be 4 floors high and there is supposed to be a little buffer of space between that resort and Desire, unlike the Cabo experience where the Barceló was built looking over the grounds of DLC. Not too much was happening with our visit over July 4th, but it will be starting soon.

There is a Breathless Resort in Punta Cana, some friends of ours stayed there a few months ago. There is no topless at their pools, it won't be competition to Temptation at all. Our friend's description: "It's the Valentin Imperial Maya with a touch more energy".

I'm just glad that it will be an adults only place as Desire RMs southern neighbor, rather than having another but much larger family resort as Desire RMs other neighbor !!!

Thank you for the update! I was concerned about the construction next door. I just booked yesterday for the first time. My wife Michelle and I will be going for our for our 3rd wedding anniversary . Will be going for the first time may 9th for 7 nights we are both 31. Super excited!

My thoughts about the topless aspect is that it all depends on the clientele of the week / day. Topless may be allowed at the pool and on the beach but that doesn't mean it's mandatory or that it will actually happen. I"m with CokeMann on this one - glad it's not a high-rise type hotel and that it's adults only and upscale. But time will tell.

Oh I agree, a massive family resort next door would be a killer....as far as the Breathless in Punta Cana, however, it was posted that topless was not allowed at the pool, similar to every vanilla resort we've ever stayed at.
