First time visit questions

Postby wildncinci » Sun Jul 20, 2014 5:24 pm

Hello, we are newbies and my husband and I are booking our first visit to RM in 2015 and wanted to know the best time to go? Our anniversary is in January and were originally thinking of booking then. We really want decent weather. However, we will be coming from the midwest and I am sure anything will be warmer for us.

We have read many posts and everyone seems so nice and welcoming, we are very excited about meeting new people on our visit. Anyone going in January?

Here is my other question. We are not in the lifestyle but are coming to celebrate 26 years of marriage. And hoping for a sexy passion filled vacation, adults only! Yeah! :D That being said I dont want to look out of place if we wear clothing. I would love to be comfortable enough to lose the clothing by a few days in, but just in case we dont. Will we look out of place? We are not the most athletic couple. Are most people in great shape?

We have typically been very conservative but would love to see where the trip takes us. Our plan is to relax and go with the flow.

Seeking some words of wisdom from some veterans. Or anyone that wants to throw in their two cents.

It is your own vacation, just go like going to other resorts. It is true that most people are naked around the pool and jacuzzi, there are still people wearing something, and no body would care about what you are wearing. There are no such things as screening test so that only people with good body shape can come. You will see many size and shapes, different colors, nationalities, though mainly from US.

Another thing that would ease your mind is that people coming to Desire are very friendly, you will hardly find people judging, or frowning upon anyone.

The Caribbean suffers hurricane from June to November so you might get windy weather during this period. January is generally a good month to go, though a bit cooler than the summer months, it is still hot enough to shed your clothes. Cancun is located in a tropical area, rain comes and goes pretty fast. So at least most of the time you are there you will enjoy it.

We go every year last weeks of June and love it We ha gone in March but find it a bit chillier at times We would not change going last weeks of June into July for anything. As far as the newbie nudist part lets just say as soon as you get there and realize that everyone else is nude you will want to be nude too. Me a cpl there this year that never ever been to a resort or not in the lifestyle either but were naked and loving life within the first 2 hrs there lol It I just that NATURAL and as Hector said everyone is so nice and friendly and far from judgmental.

And we too are far from Mr and Mrs America or Body builders and e lose the clothes as soon as we walk out the lobby door lol. Just remember this you are not the fattest or ugliest person there You are not the smallest or biggest ( penis) guy there Or the smallest boobied female there lol

ENJOY

I think you will have a great time and will enjoy it immensely . We are thinking of booking a few days at Desire RM, right after the first of the year. We've stayed at Desire Cabo and Pearl and had a great time at both of those places, and felt completely comfortable in the nude within a couple hours of hours of settling in. I'm wondering if anyone else can chime in about similarities/differences between Desire RM and Pearl. We loved Pearl, but thought we would try RM, as long as it has a nice pool, hot tub, beach, etc. We are in our mid 50'S, not in the lifestyle, but we enjoy the sexy atmosphere, the sun and the fun. Any advice that we could get from other Desire veterans would be much appreciated.

Many of our trips have been within the first two weeks of Jan. The weather can be a crap shoot. We have had weeks that have been perfect and others with lots of rain. Most people are very non-judgemental. It is a clothing optional resort and nudity is not mandatory. You can go at your own pace until you discover what your comfort levels are. You will generally find most people at some sort of undress during your stay.

We made several trip to Cabo before its closing. My wife actually liked the resort better than DRM. We visited Pearl and were not impressed into thinking that it was worth the additional cost, plus who wants to walk up all those steps at night?

January is expensive and typically has more guests who are active in the Lifestyle. Seem like some Jan weeks are even LS Takeover Weeks. We've been almost every month from Sept through May. We like December as it's getting colder at home usually and it's nice to escape to Cancun, plus the winter rates haven't kicked in yet (Xmas-Apr 30). We've pretty much concluded the winter rates are just too expensive. But maybe we're just spending too much $$ on the grandkids. Priorities change.

About the nekkid thing. Forget it. You won't even notice after the first 15 minutes or so.
