We just returned yesterday and they are working over 12 hr days 7 days a week on this.

Pretty darn cool. Love the way they get things done! Can anyone tell me what the thatched building in the picture is and where the swim up area will be. Just wondering! Thanks. We will be there in early November.

Thanks for the update Coke. We are arriving on the 17th. By the looks of your photos they will probably be finished pouring the cement about that time. Maybe the pool will open up a couple of days earlier (?)

Seeing first hand the level of effort Desire is putting fourth with the new pool renovation is fantastic. Having visited DRM for 10 fabulous vacations it is great to see them recongnise the need to constantly improve. Next trip 10/6 to 10/15 we look forward to enjoying the new pool bar!!

Just curious, we see the renovations to the pool which look amazing. What will happen to the restaurant that was outside near the pool for lunch?

I believe it was called, "Tentazione."

The old structure was demolished and a new restaurant is being built as part of this overall reno project.

Thanks for posting.. It looks a very worthwhile update and certainly got us thinking about booking for next year!
