People currently at RM . . . shuttle?

Hey folks - 11 days and counting for us - anyone who's there (or maybe just back?) - how are the shuttle trips working out?

We are here now. We'll be taking it for the first time in about 45 minutes. We received a letter at check-in describing the process. It leaves RM at 11 and 12. Leaves Pearl at 4 and 5. They would like for you to request your time two hours before.

We took it yesterday. You gather in the lobby and they call the appropriate number of taxi's. We came back early and had to pay for the return taxi. It was $20.

Curious as to why you came back early. Not what you expected? We are thinking of possibly booking RM next year.

By the time we got there we could only get chairs at the quiet end. Just didn't see that much special about Pearl and decided we preferred RM.

Looking for an update on the shuttle schedule. Originally it appeared that there were going to be three trip going to Pearl in the morning and three coming back the last one before 6 pm but now it appears that there are two in and two out. Is there a set schedule or does it depend on the number of people signing up for the van? We are arriving on the 17th but in the early afternoon, so I guess we are out of luck for the van ride to Pearl on that day?

We are interested in the shuttle schedule as well. We arrive on 9/20.

Two times per day each way. Leaving RM at 11 or noon and returning from Pearl at 4 or 5. Any other time is at your own expense.

Considering that Pearl is experiencing high occupancy (sold out this weekend), does the arrival after 11:00 pose a problem?
Or, are there adequate chairs poolside, etc?

UPDATE: We are here right now. Since Pearl is "at capacity" they are only taking 8 couples at 11 and 8 couples at 12. No more, even if you pay your own taxi. Which is bullshit.

This is EXTREMELY disappointing. I certainly hope this is not the case when we arrive on 9/20. We were willing to put up with the inconvenience of shuttling back and forth, but don't want to be with no pool at all for 3 - 4 days.

So, do the 16 couples reserve a spot, or is it first come first served?
