Hello all, we are new here and are going to desire for the first time in a few weeks. I was wondering if the guys stick to the script that is on the website for the dress code or do they get a little creative.
The Mrs and I have been to Temptation twice and participate in the themes from Cancuncare. I had fun wearing my kilt on school girl/ kilt night and just wearing some silk underwear on lingerie night.
Any thoughts? Thanks.

We are going for out first visit in two weeks so I can't speak to how guys normally dress, but Mr. K has bought several things to coordinate with the themes.
I have heard a lot of people say that the women dress more for it than the men do, but some men do participate. I know it has been harder for Mr. K to find things than it has been for me.
I say go with whatever makes you and yours happy.

We went for the first time last summer and I would say the participation is greater with the ladies than the men. This is not to say that there aren't plen of guys getting into the themes and doing it well. There were some great couple costumes. Have no fear about getting into the spirit of the themes or if you are not into it you can be a spectator and chear those that do go for it. Either way it's all good.

we both plan to enjoy the theme nights and he has some sexy outfits ready, I think it is not as accepted for the men but at other parties he gets a lot of attention when he dresses in theme. I say go for it!!

We had our vacation at DRM in October. Mrs. CoupleInMD and I both dressed for the themes, and had lots of fun doing it! She tended to wear a sexy theme-appropriate outfit, while I wore the smallest theme-appropriate thing I could find! We enjoyed it, and it was a great conversation-starter. For example, on the costume party night, we both dressed on Scottish garb, her in a bustier and hiked-up skirt with matching tartan sash, and me in a kilt with all the trimmings. We both got nice comments about our costumes, and I (as planned) got lots of ladies questioning, " what do you wear under that kilt?" I told every inquirer that they'd have to check for themselves, and pretty much all of them did
I think it adds to the fun, so go ahead and get silly/sexy!

Depending on the theme, you'll see more or less participation. Anything you do is going to be very appreciated, though!

CoupleinMD:
If you are asked "What is worn under your kilt?" the correct answer is "Nothing is worn, everything is in perfect working order."

Agreed! You can count me in as a male participant as the wife and I love to dress up (more like dress less) for each other. The wife will be picking my outfit to match hers for each theme night. Could be anything from a tux to only a man thong.

I'm happy to wear whatever she wants to see me in.

We can't wait to go to the theme nights!

We were there Mon-Fri and it probably depends on the night, but very few men dressed for the theme nights, and a minority of women. The most theme-dressed night was lingerie night on Thurs, where maybe 10-20% of the men and a 33-50% of the women wore lingerie.
I suspect this varies week by week, but people are obv comfortable either way, so I say: just go w ur instincts, you won't feel weird either way.

Anyone have any ideas on how to dress as a Rebel Grinch at Christmas?

Maybe start with this:

and then add some details? A little santa sack full of toys*, condoms and lube might round it out nicely!

The first couple of times we went to Desire, we were in theme but conservative. Now after a few trips, we think that it is sexy and it is part of the reason for us going to a place like Desire to begin with. It is fun to shop together for outfits and the guys that do dress to theme get the most attention. I am shy about getting attention but again, inhibitions get lost after a few days or visits. The big move for us is to have dinner wear that was restaurant respectable and also theme related and then have under garments that were also theme related. After a right amount of tequila and coaxing, off came the clothes on the dance floor. We are not the type to join in the theme night competitions but who knows, maybe one of us will surprise the other with enthusiastically joining the show! For a lot of us, that is the point of a Desire vacation. Shy suburban type letting loose on vacation.
MEN - dress for the theme nights, you will be rock stars! If you happen to already be a rock star, then wear a Tommy Bahama shirt and go incognito.
