Wondering if anyone knew what kind of gear they have for windsurfing.
Is it strictly beginner stuff?
I'm an avid windsurfer and was hoping to sail a bit of they have something half decent even if old.

I don't windsurf, but I sail sailboats and I can tell you the resort is pretty conservative. A few years ago it wasn't so strict, but lately if there's enough wind to even have a remote chance of flying a hull on one of the Hobies they send Leon or one of his guys out to help with the boat. On really windy days, when I'd love to get out there and tear it up, they don't let us go out at all.

Also I think they have just 2-3 boards and sails, they all look the same, and if the Hobies are any indication they'll be basic, sturdy, simple models.

Thanks, same happened in Cuba and Cozumel
15 knots and above and you're grounded.
It's rather frustrating as you probably know we don't plane before that.
White capping away and you're sitting on the beach fuming.
At least this time if this happens, there is a hot tub area :-(w)

I have wanted to try wind surfing for the last few trips to DRM but the board is too big for me as a beginner female on the smaller side. Although the windsurfing board and sail they do have looks like it's in good shape and almost new. It sits alone a lot on the beach. Leo would be more than happy to help you out.

Well shit, they don't even *have* boats or boards at Pearl. I wonder why the difference.

Just like penises, bigger is better. Smaller is for experts lol
